Alarm Solutions
Depending on the size of your firm and the number of buildings that need protecting will depend on the type of intruder alarm solution that is right for your business. These are two examples however a hybrid solution could also be designed.

Wired Alarm Solutions
A wired system requires cable to connect the different zones (or areas) of your system. This allows up to 50 different zones to be active which could be doors, windows, loading bays, internal doors or wherever you have an access point in the building. This is ideal for bigger firms with multiple areas. Key fobs can be issued to key personal making entering and exiting simple and quick.

Wireless Alarm Solutions
A wired system requires cable to connect the different zones (or areas) of your system. This allows up to 50 different zones to be active which could be doors, windows, loading bays, internal doors or wherever you have an access point in the building. This is ideal for bigger firms with multiple areas. Key fobs can be issued to key personal making entering and exiting simple and quick.

Wireless Alarm Solutions
Using the latest wireless technology cables are not required to link the zones to the main system so all that is required is to fit the PIRs (Passive Infrared Sensors) or door contacts in the correct area and connect them wirelessly. This type of alarm installation is ideal for the smaller business and allows up to 30 zones to be active at one time.

  • All our burglar alarms can be fitted with an IP module which allows access to the internet so you can access the easy to use and simple app online.

  • As well as a keypad, fobs can also be used which is ideal for ease of access.

  • All our systems can be monitored 24/7 for additional security and peace of mind.

  • Cameras with sensors can be set up to send still shots to your smartphone alerting you instantly regardless if you are at the business or not.

CCTV Guide

CCTV
CCTV Cameras in the business are used for a variety of reasons including: keeping staff safe, acting as a deterrent to would be thieves, seeing who is entering or leaving the premises including lorry deliveries to warehouses and reducing risk for loss of stock. Systems can be linked to a 24/7 monitoring service and you can access your system via your smartphone or tablet giving you complete flexibility especially when you are away from the premises.

There are two technologies of cameras suitable for a business security system:

HD-SDI
HD-SDI CCTV cameras use digital technology to capture and record images producing excellent clarity. Cameras can come in higher resolutions depending on the requirements and due to the digital image give greater flexibility for a business when accessing via a smartphone or tablet when away from the premises. This also helps for monitoring services to identify any risks that may be there.

IP Cameras
IP CCTV Cameras send images and data via your computer network and the internet. This gives them the added advantage of flexibility as wireless technology can be built in. IP Cameras can also work with Power Over Ethernet so they have the ability to work without a power supply giving you far greater flexibility to have cameras exactly where you want them. Images can be recorded directly to a network recorder or some circumstances (and depending on requirements) can be saved to a standard storage device.

There are three main styles of business CCTV cameras:

Dome Cameras
Dome cameras are smaller and are less intrusive within the business, ideal for inside an office, shop or public place or in small areas such as a reception area.

PTZ Cameras
Or Pan, Tilt and Zoom cameras allowing the camera to be controlled and moved remotely. Some cameras allow the use of auto tracking, the result is that the camera will follow movement. A PTZ camera is ideal for: carparks, rooftops, construction sites and warehouses. The ability to have 360 degree range makes these an ideal choice for a large areas minimising the need for multiple fixed cameras.

Recording
HD DVRs and NVRs (network video recorders can be bought with 4 to 16 channels (depending on the number of cameras required). In some circumstances this can be increased as can the size of the recording hard drive (where the images are stored) again this depends on your requirements and how long you wish to keep you recorded images for.

Our trained engineers will provide a free business security survey and assess with you the key areas where a camera should be positioned and what sort of camera will be required to best protect your firm.

We also provide a full demonstration suite so that the different types of CCTV systems can be viewed.

Fire Alarms Guide

Fire Alarms & Smoke Detection Systems
People are often complacent about the risk of fire to their business and the long lasting damage and upset it can cause.

There are many buildings which require a Fire Alarm by law including offices, commercial and industrial buildings and certain types of residential property that are managed by landlords and considered to be a House in Multiple Occupation (HMO) and need to be in accordance with BS 5839.

To protect your business and employees there are different types of Fire Alarm Systems that can be installed depending on the size and layout of the business.

To protect your business and employees there are different types of Fire Alarm Systems that can be installed depending on the size and layout of the business.

The easiest and the most simple is if you have had a burglar alarm installed by i-tech we can connect smoke alarms to this so when smoke is detected a siren will sound alerting your employees to the risk to the danger.

The next option is to install a standalone business fire alarm system. This will run as a separate system to your burglar alarm.

Depending on the size of your business we offer a two wire fire alarm system which allows sounders to be installed onto the same circuit as the smoke detectors and therefore reduces the cost of the installation.

For large installations an analogue addressable fire alarm system is used. This is wired in a loop which incorporates all sounders and smoke detectors and each device is allocated a text description hence this allows the user to pin-point where the activation occurred.

Our trained engineers will provide a free business fire alarm survey and assess with you the your requirements to reduce risk to your employees and business.
